The first new polar build in Lindblad's 50-year history, National Geographic Endurance is named to honor explorer Ernest Shackleton and his legendary Transantarctic Expedition.
A fully-stabilized vessel of the highest ice class (PC5 Category A), she will enable adventurous guests to go where few have or can. CABINS
All cabins are outward-facing and feature large windows. All are equipped with climate control, an expedition command center—including tablets, multiple electrical and USB outlets, a TV, barometer, a National Geographic Atlas, and more—a mini refrigerator, small safe, and robes. Bathrooms are outfitted with a rain shower and directional showerhead, botanically inspired products, and a hair dryer. Category 5 cabins, located on the Bridge Deck, can be configured with two single beds or one double bed. They feature a balcony outfitted with two chairs, a table, and a hammock; convertible sleeper sofa; writing desk and chair; two bedside tables; and a closet with ample storage.
Cabin Category 6
The Category 6 junior suite, located on the Bridge Deck, can be configured with two single beds or one double bed. The balcony, which extends the full length of the cabin, is outfitted with two chairs, a table, and a hammock. The spacious junior suite features a slender privacy wall with TVs on either side, a separate vanity area, convertible sleeper sofa, writing desk and chair, two bedside tables, and a closet with ample storage.
Cabin Category 7
Category 7 suites, located on the Bridge Deck, can be configured with two single beds or one double bed. The balcony, which extends the full length of the cabin, is outfitted with two chairs, a table, and a hammock. The spacious suites feature a slender privacy wall with TVs on either side, a separate vanity area, convertible sleeper sofa, writing desk and chair, two bedside tables, and a walk-in closet with ample storage. The bathroom includes a double vanity and bathtub, in additional to the rain shower. Plus—all suites have an extra half-bath.
Cabin Categories Solo A & B
Category Solo A cabins, located on the Main Deck, and Solo B cabins, located on the Lounge Deck, are configured with one single bed. They feature a balcony outfitted with a chair, a table, and a hammock; writing desk and chair; and a closet with ample storage.
THE BRIDGE DECK
The high-tech Bridge is adapted to accommodate every guest aboard, enabling you to share the thrill of being underway. Learn from the Captain and officers and scan the horizon for wildlife with naturalists from one of the best viewpoints aboard the ship—the Bridge is always open.
THE MAIN DECK
Welcome aboard. From your first sight of the art to the left of the Main Deck's reception desk (part of the pioneering polar art exhibit, Change, installed onboard) to the sleek lines and calming neutrals, you can feel the rigors of travel drop away. Ahead: only supreme comfort and the exhilaration of discovery.
THE OBSERVATION DECK
The Observation Deck is replete with inviting places: the Den (shown here); the Library with its electronic navigation chart; the Science Hub; C. Green's bistro and bar; and Charlie's Table where small, invitational, expeditionary dinner parties occur during the voyage. Which nook and cranny will you gravitate to?
THE LOUNGE DECK
The Lounge Deck's Ice Lounge, with its signature Lindblad Circle of Truth at the center, is where the daily ritual of Recap—convening, sharing knowledge, and anticipating tomorrow—takes place over cocktails and canapes, with engaging presentations or undersea videos lighting the screens.
THE EXPEDITION DECK
As its name suggests, the Expedition Deck is home to the equipment and amenities needed for exploration off ship. The spacious Basecamp offers warm, ‘welcome home' storage for your expedition gear; Zodiacs and kayaks are stored in the Garage; and the newly-designed loading bays allow our fleet of Zodiacs to be deployed quickly—ultimately maximizing your time ashore.
270°
The main dining room aboard, 270°'s name captures its key feature: panoramic windows for views from every table. The daily menu also reflects a sense of the place outside the windows: imagine eating an ethereal Pavlova as a berg floats lightly by? A selection of plant-forward options, including artisanal vegan cheeses, and a casual, no-assigned-seating vibe makes 270º uniquely welcoming for all.
C. GREENS
Named in honor of Shackleton's expedition cook aboard the original Endurance, C. Greens is for lighter lunch fare: salads, custom grilled meats, a hamburger, or pasta. Early risers will also find pastries, yogurt, and other early-riser breakfast specialties here. C. Greens' lively bar is where many guests gravitate on those nights when the fire pit lounge area or the infinity jacuzzis and igloos aren't luring them outdoors.
THE IGLOOS & HOT TUBS
Originally intended as solarizing units for the adjacent infinity hot tubs, the igloos quickly became such an acclaimed feature that guests can now book an overnight stay (on a first-come, first-serve basis). It is a one-of-a-kind experience to lie on a superb mattress under a froth of cozy duvet, warmed by twin hot-water bottles in the traditional Scandinavian way, as you gaze out at impossible polar beauty, or up at never-before-seen polar stars.
THE SANCTUARY
On the aft end of the Observation Deck, the Sanctuary, a haven in every sense, supports wellness and your mind-body connection—with Nordic and Tropic saunas for your preferred heat level, a yoga studio, treatment rooms and the terrace for post-treatment relaxing. The fully-equipped gym is located on the Bridge Deck one level below.
THE SCIENCE HUB
There is so much still to know and learn from polar regions. We have always facilitated research projects, and now National Geographic Endurance provides a ‘lab' for researchers needing to stretch grant dollars to get to key sites and do their vital work. Guests gain a front-row seat on ongoing science and connect with interesting researchers.
